- The Sigma 6000 Programmable Volumetric
Infusion Pump is designed to provide accurate and reliable
administration of all intravenous drugs and fluids
- The "Program" feature allows you to
preset up to 12 different rate and volume limit combinations for the
gradual increase or reduction of intravenous fluids and medications
- The infusion rate is selectable from
0.1 ml/hr to 999 ml/hr
- Piggyback (or secondary) medication
may also be automatically infused at a delivery rate and volume
independent of the primary infusion, with automatic changeover to the
primary infusion when the piggyback infusion is complete
- To ensure safety and ease of
operation, the 6000 has a user prompting system and a full range of
diagnostic alarms
- Fluid flow protection is provided
through an automatic safety clamp
